John Deere Autonomous Lawn Mower
APPLIANCE USER INTERFACE
We designed the User Interface for a home appliance that controls an autonomous lawn mower and other home devices. We developed several states of the appliance, including the resting state (view 1), choices for lawn pattern and preferences (view 2), security perimeter (view 3), and a version with a user selected skin (view 4). Our team designed everything shown in these screens, including the illustrations, the physical appearance of the appliance (brushed metal frame and details) and all of the user interface screen elements. These designs were utilized by a team of engineers at John Deere to "sell" the concept to top-level executives, in hopes of securing additional project funding to develop the system for the marketplace.
